Situated just a stone's throw from the Westgate Towers, nestled at the heart of St Dunstan, Chapman’s of Canterbury has been paying tribute to the region’s finest seafood for over three decades. Taking inspiration from locally sourced ingredients, the sharing-plate menu is innovative, yet unfussy, authentic dishes with a modern twist.

Renowned for its’ quality, Chapman’s has been serving up superior quality fish from the day it opened its doors. Previously owned by independent fish wholesaler Chapman’s, 2020 saw the restaurant take a new and exciting path. Now under the stewardship of executive chef Byron Hayter, Chapman’s of Canterbury continues to offer Kent’s finest locally sourced produce. Byron’s wealth of experience in the luxury fine dining industry is reflected in his work, the menu is simple, yet exciting and is a true celebration of the ingredients.

Experience Chapmans' of Canterbury in the comfort of your own home. Given the latest lockdown announcement, we will remain closed until further notice, we are however offering an authentic breakfast, and dinner take away menu available via Deliveroo, Just Eat and UberEats or collection in person, click here for the menus.

 Alongside the cocktails is a tailored wine list, exclusive to Chapman’s’, carefully selected for the perfect seafood pairings.

A building steeped in history, Byron has embraced the old and the new; 15th century beams are complemented with a contemporary design, 
and easy-going ambience. An open plan restaurant and marble-topped bar greet you upon arrival, whilst upstairs 
you’ll find a beautifully decorated mezzanine draped in greenery; elegant, cosy and intimate - perfect for private dining.

Just along from the Westgate Towers and a short stroll from Canterbury West train station, Chapman’s of Canterbury can be found at the very heart of the St Dunstan’s.
